Is it a subscription?

No. Quarter Inch is a one-time purchase. Any extras are optional.

What’s happening with EQ8 on Mac?

Apple has said macOS 27 is the last version with general Rosetta support. EQ8 for Mac relies on Rosetta today, and EQ has said it plans to have a solution in place before macOS 28. Whatever happens, Quarter Inch will open your EQ8 projects on your Mac, your iPad or any browser, so your quilts are never tied to one computer.

Does it work on iPad?

Yes. Quarter Inch is quilt design software for iPad, Mac and the web, and your EQ8 projects will open on all three.

Does it work on Windows?

Yes, in any modern browser. Chromebooks too.

Do you use AI?

Only as optional help. You design, our math measures, and we never train on your designs.

What if you shut down?

Your quilts use an open format, and you can export everything at any time.
